Monroe police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the strong-armed robbery suspect

MONROE, Mich. (WTVG) – The Monroe Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in identifying a strong-arm robbery suspect.

The incident happened on November 5th around 9:30 a.m. in the driveway behind Jack’s Bicycles located at 206 S. Monroe Street. Police say the suspect began strangling the victim to the ground before stealing money from the victim’s pocket and running away.

The suspect was last seen walking south from the scene of the robbery.

According to police, the suspect is described as a middle-aged black man with short black hair, a mustache and beard/beard. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light green pants with dark green shorts underneath, black shoes and earrings.

It is not known if the suspect is armed with a weapon.
