Roommate of Orlando woman who disappeared since Christmas 2022 charged with murder

Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco has been missing since Christmas 2022.

Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco has been missing since Christmas 2022.

A Florida woman is accused of killing her roommate who went missing in Orlando on Christmas Day 2022, according to police.

Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, 42, was arrested Thursday in Connecticut and charged with second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and grand larceny in connection with the disappearance of Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, also 42.

Nearly two years since she was last seen, Medina-Pacheco’s body has still not been found, according to the Orlando Police Department.

Victoria-Gonzalez contacted police on Dec. 27, 2022, and reported that she had not seen her roommate in two days, police said.

However, as law enforcement investigated the case, detectives discovered “numerous inconsistencies” in Victoria-Gonzalez’s version of events.

A search warrant was executed at the residence where the pair lived and “significant evidence was recovered indicating that a violent incident had occurred,” police said.

Following an investigation involving multiple local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, detectives determined that Victoria-Gonzalez lived in Hartford, Connecticut.

Orlando police went to her Connecticut residence and after an interview determined they had probable cause to charge her in Medina-Pacheco’s death and she was taken into custody.
