Police officer accused of taking sexually explicit selfies while on duty

A police officer accused of filming himself having sex while on duty and in uniform faces misconduct proceedings.

pc Ian Whitmill is said to have taken more explicitly selfies between October 2022 and March this year while working for British Transport Police.

PC Whitmill is alleged to have taken numerous selfies, including pictures of his penis and video recordings of solo sexual acts, while on duty and in uniform.

He is said to have sent “sexting messages’ and sexually explicit selfie images to ‘third parties’ during this period.

A misconduct notice states the PC is accused of “improperly using police equipment” while taking pictures and videos.

And they also face extreme possession claims pornography showing bestiality and posting messages in a “swinging” chat group during work in 2023.

PC Whitmill faces allegations that he breached the “Standards of Professional Conduct Relating to Disreputable Conduct and Duties and Responsibilities”.

A speedy hearing for the offense will take place at the British Transport Police base in London Bridge on Friday.

If found guilty of serious misconduct, he could be forcibly dismissed.
