York gunman charged after alleged threats lead to hours-long standoff: PSP

A York man was arrested after an altercation involving a gun led to an hour-long standoff with police, officials report.

Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute in the 10 block of Eisenhart Mill Road around 8:20 a.m.

Authorities at the scene spoke with the victim, who stated that during an altercation with Brian Price, 43, he allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened him. Police documents show that the victim then fled the home.

State troopers then set up a perimeter around the area and tried to get Price to come out of the house for several hours. Price was then taken into custody without incident by Pennsylvania State Police.

Investigators discovered that because of a prior felony conviction, Price was not allowed to own a handgun. He was charged with weapons possession, terroristic threats and simple assault.

Price is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 22.
