Ted Cruz’s daughter grimaces and says ‘don’t cheer for that’ during dad’s Trump victory speech

HOUSTON (Gray News) – Ted Cruz’s 16-year-old daughter Caroline is going viral on TikTok for her expressions during her father’s victory speech Tuesday night.

Cruz, 53, secured a third term in the Senate by defeating Democratic U.S. Rep. Colin Allred.

As he addressed his supporters in his victory speech, Cruz said, “I hope and pray that Donald Trump is re-elected president of the United States.”

While the crowd cheered, Caroline’s daughter did not. The teenager is seen visibly grimacing and appears to tell her mother: “Don’t cheer for that.”

Carolina’s reaction goes viral a TikTok video which is captioned “Ted Cruz’s baby face says it all.”

The video has nearly 4 million views as of Thursday.

“She didn’t even try to hide it,” one commenter wrote.

“‘Don’t clap for this’ is so valid,” said another.

The teenager, however, cheered throughout her father’s speech for other statements he made.

In 2022, Caroline posted a now-deleted TikTok video in which she said she “really disagrees with most of his opinions” when talking about her relationship with her father.
