SF. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – A 1-year-old boy has died after allegedly being left in a car all day in St. Petersburg, according to St. Petersburg police. Stains.

Police say a man went to the Bayfront Child Development Center to pick up his child. When she spoke to staff, they told her the little boy was not present that day. Realizing that she had not left her son, she returned to the car, where the child was found unresponsive.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been in the vehicle all day.

Police say an investigation is underway to see if charges will be filed.
