E. Jean Carroll shares 5 heartbreaking words after Trump’s victory

E. Jean Carroll, the writer against whom Donald Trump was found guilty of sexual abuse and defamation, shared a short and emotional post on Wednesday after the Republican was re-elected president.

“I tried to tell you,” she wrote on Xformerly Twitter.

Carroll, a columnist of many tips, said Trump raped her in a New York department store dressing room in 1996.

In May 2023, a jury awarded her 5 million dollars and found that Trump had sexually abused her but not raped her. She also found that he defamed her by claiming she lied about it. Trump denies he did it.

In January, a jury awarded Carroll $83.3 million for defamation after Trump continued to attack her publicly. The president-elect is appealing both verdicts.

Trump has been accused of sexual assault or harassment more than two dozen women.

Earlier this year, he was convicted of falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to a porn actor with whom he allegedly had an extramarital affair. He also faced three additional criminal charges, but apparently he you can get out of them now that he is returning to the White House.
