Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash in Bridgnorth

The crash on the A442 involved two vehicles, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said.

The SFRS said they sent five fire engines to the scene at around 3.10pm.

A spokesman said fire crews were forced to use cutters and sprinklers to help.

West Mercia Police said they received the call just before 3pm and the incident happened close to the Fenn Green junction.

A spokesman said: “We were called at around 2.55pm today (Thursday November 7) to the A442 in Alveley near the Fenn Green junction to reports of a collision involving two vehicles. Officers attended the scene and made the area safe.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service were also at the scene and have been contacted for further details.
