This morning, the police executed an order to apply the preventive measure of arrest in prison against a 19-year-old young man, considered a serious suspect for the crimes of aggravated robbery, possession and illegal possession of weapons, and serious assault in collaboration with other subjects who are still being identified. Specifically, on the morning of December 14, 2023, five people, one of whom was armed with a gun, robbed a tobacconist on Via Ulisse Proto Giurleo, stealing 500 euros and tobacco products worth a total of 3,200 euros. In the circumstances, the owner suffered a violent assault, being hit with kicks and punches and a blow to the back of the head with the butt of the gun by one of the criminals. The research made use of the images from the surveillance systems present in the area as well as the detection of the fingerprint left on the glass of the door at the entrance of the premises by the armed robber, who was later identified as the recipient of today’s measure. The preventive measure was carried out at the Poggioreale prison in Naples where the subject was already detained for another criminal trial.
