Two men have been arrested after a tip led police to find the remains of a burnt cannabis crop in a back garden.

Nottinghamshire Police said responding officers immediately noticed a strong smell of cannabis when they opened the front door of a house in Noel Street, Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, on Monday morning.

Cut cannabis plants and cultivation equipment were found inside the property, the force said, with suspicions that the electricity supply had been illegally bypassed.

Two men aged 25 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production.
