    Early results are pouring in in swing states critical for Trump or Harris to win the election, but it could be hours — or days in some cases — before the Associated Press and major networks can call them.

    As of 9:20 pm Eastern on Tuesday, Trump led Harris 52.8% to 46.6% in Georgia with 70% of the vote counted. He also led in North Carolina by about two percentage points, with half the vote.

    If Trump is able to carry Georgia and North Carolina, Harris’s only realistic possibility is to win the “Blue Wall” states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Harris led in Pennsylvania and Michigan and trailed in Wisconsin, but neither state has yet reported even a quarter of the expected vote total.
