Trump forgets what state he’s in during the Homestretch Rally Blitz

Donald Trump appeared to run out of steam Sunday during the fifth of six rallies he has planned in the weekend before Tuesday’s election. The event took place in Kinston, North Carolina.

After arriving late to the second rally of the day, he called out a Republican running for office — except the person wasn’t running in the swing state of North Carolina.

“You have one of the best of them all here. David McCormick,” he he told the audience. “Where is David? Is it somewhere? You know, I just left him. He’s a great guy.” The point is that McCormick is running for the US Senate in Pennsylvania, a state that Trump visited on Sunday morning.

His tardiness and lethargy seemed to affect not only his energy but also the early participants, with a a reporter sharing video of people leaving the event less than five minutes after he began his speech.

A rally exodus seems to be a thing lately at the crowd-obsessed candidate’s rallies. On Friday in Greensboro, North Carolina, as Trump boasted that “we have the biggest rallies in the history of any country,” a cameraman checked it live, panning the stadium for it shows the empty seats and the people leaving arena, though it’s unclear if those attendees left the venue for good.

Sunday earlier during his first rallyhe did dangerous remarks to the press again while discussing the bulletproof glass that surrounds him during his rallies.

“I have this piece of glass here,” Trump said. “But all we really have here is fake news, right?” which drew laughter from the crowd.

“And to catch me, someone would have to go through the fake news, and I don’t mind that much. I don’t mind. I don’t mind that,” he said. His campaign later released a statement saying, in part, “President Trump said the media was in danger by protecting him and therefore they were in great danger and should have had a shield as well protective glass. “

On Sunday night, Trump rounds out his weekend rally with a rally in Macon, Georgia.
