Eyewitness footage helps police identify man who beat dog while walking in Minneapolis

Investigators were able to positively match Thompson to photos and videos witnesses submitted of the beaten dog in Minneapolis.

Thompson contacted animal control about the missing dog and arrived to pick up Subliminal. When asked if he hit his dog, Thompson initially denied it, but eventually admitted hitting his dogs for discipline. A vet’s report concluded that Subliminal had “decreased right hind limb musculature” along with bloody crusts on his chin.

Thompson has a lengthy criminal record in Minnesota, including convictions for domestic abuse, assault, terroristic threats and fleeing police. He also has 41 felony convictions for driving after his license was revoked to go along with two felony DWI convictions.

He is due to be arraigned on November 20 on animal cruelty charges.
