Buckshot breaks his silence after a vicious attack leaves him hospitalized

Buckshot, legendary rapper and member of Black Moon, has broken his silence after filming with him brutally assaulted from Brooklyn appeared on social media.

The “Who Got Da Props” rapper, who remained hospitalized following the assault, issued a statement to AllHipHop expressing appreciation for those who offered their well wishes. “To all my friends, fans and supporters – thank you for reaching out during this difficult time,” Buckshot began.

“Recently, I was the victim of a violent attack involving several people armed with weapons, including handguns. This attack stems from ongoing disputes over my property, of which I am the rightful owner, but have faced problems with squatters who have escalated the situation to violence.”

Versier, who called on the community to come together in an effort to make New York “safer,” expressed his disappointment that the attack took place in the neighborhoods where he grew up and currently lives.

“As someone who has been an entertainer and part of this community for over 30 years, I am deeply disturbed that such an incident could happen in New York, a city I love and call home,” he lamented he. “Violence like this doesn’t happen here, and I’m calling on everyone to come together to make New York safer and better for all of us.”

The 49-year-old continued, adding that he and his lawyers were working with local police to bring his attackers to justice. “I am currently recovering from my injuries and working closely with my legal team and law enforcement to ensure this matter is handled properly,” Buckshot said.

“We are committed to justice and ask for your patience and support as the legal process unfolds. Thanks again for all the well wishes. Let’s end the violence and help rebuild a stronger, safer New York.”

According to reports, Buckshot was assaulted last Thursday (October 31) in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. In a graphic clip that has been shared on social media, the bloodied and bruised rapper can be seen slumped on the ground following the attack.

At one point, Buckshot calls for someone to call an ambulance, with a bystander informing him that paramedics are on their way to the scene.

Originally from Brooklyn, Buckshot made his debut with Black Moon on their 1993 album, Enta Yes Stagewhich produced the hit singles “How Many MC’s…”, “Buck Em Down (Remix)” and “I Got Cha Opin (Remix)”.

Founder of Boot Camp Clik, which has introduced bands like Smif-N-Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, OGC and more, Buckshot has teamed up with business partner Drew “Dru-Ha” Friedman. to launch Duck Down Records in the mid-90s, which became one of the leading independent labels in Hip-Hop.
