About 64 percent of respondents said they would accept $1,000 to wear a t-shirt and hat for the presidential candidate they don’t support, even for a day, compared to 36 percent of people who said they will not wear the clothes. of the opposing candidate.

Fifty-five percent of people said they would accept $1,000 to update their social media profile picture for a week to show themselves wearing clothing that supports the presidential candidate they oppose, compared to 45 % who said they would not.

Meanwhile, the poll found a split between supporters of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump when asked about wearing the gear of opposing political candidates.

The poll found that 73 percent of Trump supporters said they would be willing to wear Harris clothing for a day in exchange for $1,000. But 47 percent of Harris supporters would agree to the same deal and wear Trump gear.

But there was a bigger gap when it came to supporters updating their social media profiles.

Only 27 percent of Harris supporters were willing to change their profile pictures for $1,000, while 70 percent of Trump supporters said they would do it and take the money.

RushOrderTees also found that there was a difference in responses between the generations willing to shell out the money to carry the other presidential candidate’s merchandise.

About 49% of respondents over the age of 60 would need $1,000 to wear the opposing candidate’s clothing for a day, which is lower than the average of 67% among other age groups.

Additionally, there was a gender split in the survey between men and women, with 72% of men saying they would accept the $1,000 offer to wear another presidential candidate’s clothes, while only 50% of women would do the same thing, the survey shows.

The poll was conducted on October 7, 2024, by SurveyMonkey, with a sample of 2,195 US adults, 18 and older. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 2%.
