Drug lab found in Dwarka, two foreigners flee from the spot

New Delhi: A drug testing and manufacturing laboratory run by two men of African descent on the second floor of a building in Dwarka he was arrested by the police.
At around 10 pm on November 1, the police received a PCR call reporting a fire on the roof of a residential house in Nanda Block, Mahavir Enclave, Dabri. A team quickly arrived at the scene, finding a burnt tin cabin with water tanks on the roof. A strong smell of chemicals filled the area, immediately raising suspicions. During the search of the building, two men of African origin fled the scene.
Police sources said initial inspections by crime and forensic teams pointed out the presence of narcotics and dangerous chemicals. Local inquiries led police to suspect certain African nationals living on the second floor, prompting a thorough search that uncovered a clandestine laboratory.
“Inside, they found methamphetaminehydrochloric acid, hypophosphorous acid and other hazardous, prohibited and controlled substances,” a source said. Along with these drugs, various laboratory tools and equipment essential for the manufacture of contraband substances were also seized.
The seized items were documented under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which involves recording the search and seizure through audio and video means. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and crime squads have secured all the exhibits and an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Preliminary findings showed that the property was rented just two days before the discovery of the lab. Police are investigating the role of the owner and teams have been formed to nab the two.
On January 30, Dwarka police busted a methamphetamine syndicate, uncovering another lab.
