Car theft is a massive problem and could pose a risk to Waymo taxis

car theft is a major problem worldwide. Unfortunately, it is getting worse and people are trying to find better ways to protect their vehicles. Conformable PC Maga San Francisco man tried to break into one of the city’s Waymo taxis while it was stopped at a red light. The report says he approached the vehicle and tried to open it while the rider watched in fear from the back seat. He even held what the rider thought was a knife.

According to the Waymo cab rider, “I’m not sure it was a knife. Maybe it was a tool to break car windows. The scariest part was that I felt a little helpless without a driver who could just step on the gas to get us out of the situation. Once the light turned green, Waymo drove me home as usual.

After the carjacking attempt, the passenger called Waymo to report what happened. They called the response to the report “very supportive.” In addition, the company sent an email the next day to check on their status after such a tense meeting. Of course, Maymo taxis use an app for passengers and encourage them to press the emergency button in the future if something like this happens again, just like calling 911.

Finally, the driver said they would use Waymo’s self-driving taxis again in the future. Waymo is currently testing its self-driving vehicles in several cities across the country, including San Francisco, Phoenix and Los Angeles. They plan to add more in Atlanta and Austin next year.
