How to Complete the Find the Source Quest in “Escape From Tarkov”

The Escape from Tarkov The Halloween event is in full swing, and after a new patch today, two new missions have been added, as well as multiple changes to the zombie spawn rate. One of the new missions is Find the Source and you can find out how to complete it below.

New technical update for Escape from Tarkov is a small patch that added both the Find the Source quest and the Matter Of Technique quest. Once you’ve completed the latter, the Find the Source quest will unlock, asking you to head to the zombie-infested Labs map to find a log that may be useful.

If you are already sick of the current zombie event in Tarkovthe good news is that the Customs map is now free of zombies after Reshala and his guards killed them all. The spawn rates on some maps have also been reduced, so they should be less annoying in the future. There are also some bug fixes that improve some issues last week’s big patch entered.

When you get to the Find Source search, it looks simple enough on paper, but finding the exact location isn’t easy, so be sure to check out the guide below.

How to complete the quest Find the Source in Escape from Tarkov

To complete the mission Find the source in Escape from Tarkov must be completed first A matter of techniquewhich is quite easy to complete. Once you complete it, the Find The Source quest will unlock.

The Find the Source mission asks you to go to the Lab map and find a sealed room, in the room you must then find a journal and extract it from the map. It sounds easy enough on paper, but in practice it’s a lot harder than you might think.

First, you’ll need to load into the Labs, and since it’s full of zombies, you’ll want to bring plenty of ammo with you. Then you’ll need to head to the new map expansion area, which is next to the blue card room. You’ve probably already been there for one of the first searches in the new event.

In this area, once you enter the main area after activating the switch, there is a locked door that requires the residence key. You’ll need this key card to complete the quest, but they’re fairly easy to find in this area, and at least one is guaranteed to spawn every raid. It’s called the TerraGroup Labs Residential Facility Keycard, and if you’re really struggling, you can buy them from the Flea Market.

Once you have the card, you’ll need to head to the residential unit area, which is in the new expanded map area, and look for a journal. There seem to be a few spawns for this, but at least one is under one of the bunk beds and another is under the wheelie cabinet near the end of the bed. Once you find the journal, you must extract it from the raid and turn it in to complete the mission.
