The woman, Tina Cabudoy, ​​50, who just moved from Santa Rosa to San Jose, also faces 35 counts of embezzlement, mostly felonies, in suspected of stealing $300,000 from a previous employer in San Carlos.

Cabudoy’s arrest this week followed a month-long investigation that began in April when officials at Amaturo Sonoma Media Group, where Cabudoy had worked as a business manager, told police they believed he had stolen more than $100,000 from company.

Detectives from the Property Crimes Investigation Team audited Cabudoy’s expenses and served several search warrants on financial institutions to review expense records, officials said.

The investigation revealed that Cabudoy used company checks and credit cards and spent more than $160,000 in unauthorized transactions, including Amazon purchases, “lavish” hotel stays, trips and an “extravagant” birthday party for it is mentioned in the press release.

On Wednesday, detectives served a search warrant at Cabudoy’s home in San Jose and arrested her. Officers seized additional financial documents from the residence to use as evidence.

Cabudoy is being held at the Sonoma County Jail in Santa Rosa on suspicion of embezzlement. Her bond is set at $100,000.
