FOX 5 was there as Atlanta Police uniformed patrol officers tried to make contact with the residents of a home on Briar Ridge Way. Officers confirmed their response was in regards to the stray child, but would not comment further.

The search finally ended around 1pm on Friday after the family was located.

Police have offered no explanation for what happened, which led to the child wandering the street, or said whether charges will be filed. They would only say the investigation is still active.
