Filming locations for Until I Kill You.

Despite being set in North London, the drama was filmed mainly in Swansea, with brief one-day shoots in both Camden and Amsterdam.

The decision to film in the Welsh city was due to the fact that gentrification has changed London’s streets since the 1990s, when the story takes place. It also helped reduce production costs and avoid congestion on the capital’s busy streets.

Cardiff was originally considered as the main location, but “it just didn’t have the kind of architecture that north London has, particularly Kentish Town,” explains producer Ken Horn.

Camden

Scenes were filmed on location at Camden Lock and on Camden Market Bridge, with actress Anna Maxwell Martin filmed walking on the hook-walk.

Due to Camden’s popularity with tourists, filming took place in the early hours of the morning. Another challenge the manufacturers had to face was the post-production task of painting modern cars that would have looked out of place in the 1990s.

Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill appears in the final episode of the series as Delia returns home from work with the London skyline in the background.

“We had to paint a lot of buildings, because the Corniche and places like that didn’t exist then, so we got rid of them,” said series producer Ken Horn. Break.
