A woman is hospitalized after being in a car accident on October 31.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2013 Nissan Sentra was traveling northbound on Highway 63 approximately three miles north of Vichy.

Around 6:38 p.m., Thursday, driver Nicole L. Constable, 38, of Vienna, failed to negotiate a curve.

She went off the right side of the roadway before overcorrecting. The officer then skidded off the left side of the road, where the Nissan struck a rock and came to rest.

The woman suffered serious injuries on impact and was transported to University Hospital by Mercy Air Ambulance.

MSHP noted that the officer was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.
