Concordia University in St. Paul will absorb Platt College’s nursing program in the Denver area

Concordia University in St. Paul absorbs Platt College in the Denver area, a small for-profit nursing school with a total enrollment of about 230 students.

As a result, Concordia nursing programs will now be offered on three campuses, including its main campus in St. Paul, a nursing campus in Portland, Oregon, and the new location in Greenwood Village, near Denver. Platt College faculty and staff will transition to Concordia as an employer, although existing Platt students will continue their current programs as planned.

In less than a year, new students will enroll in Concordia’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, pending final regulatory approval expected next May. Platt College’s Denver campus will be renamed “CSP” by the end of the year.

The acquisition does not include a number of Platt College campuses in California. News of the transition was announced this week by Concordia officials and posted on the Platt College website.
