Volunteer Opportunity: Become a board member

About us:
Carmel’s Depression & Anxiety Wellness Foundation (CDAWF) is dedicated to providing resources, education and community support for people experiencing depression and anxiety. Our mission is to reduce stigma, raise awareness of mental health and provide accessible resources to our community. As we grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of our organization.

Responsibilities of Council members:
As a board member, you will play a crucial role in guiding CDAWF’s mission, strategy and growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning: Helps set direction and priorities for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
  • Fundraising and development: Support and participate in fundraising efforts to ensure the sustainability of our programs.
  • Financial supervision: reviews and approves annual budgets, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
  • Advocacy & Outreach: Act as an ambassador for CDAWF, helping to build partnerships and increase community awareness.
  • Council meetings: Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in person) and actively contribute to discussions and decision-making.

Qualifications:
We are looking for people with experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • Nonprofit management or governance
  • Mental health or healthcare advocacy
  • Fundraising and development
  • Financial management or accounting
  • Marketing, public relations or communication
  • Community outreach and partnerships
