The Green Bay School Board votes on the 2025 school year budget

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay Area Public School District held a meeting Monday night to continue discussions on the 2025 school year budget.

Board members voted on the proposed plans Monday night at the district office building. While most funding priorities are consistent with past years, portions of the budget could look different depending on the district’s referendum in November.

The referendum asks taxpayers for $183 million in school maintenance and renovations without raising the tax rate. If the November referendum fails, economists say the tax rate is expected to drop dramatically.

Finally, at Monday’s meeting, the school board voted to approve the final budget.
