Yhwach is about to become All Powerful

Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War Episode 30 continues the fight to keep the Soul King alive. With Ichigo accidentally threw the punch that would break the seal around the king, Ukitake had done his best to keep the Soul King steady by using the power of the Mimihagi resting within him. It is a full arm of the Soul King and thus was able to repel Yhwach for a short time. But this was clearly only temporary, as Yhwach was able to break through Mimihagi’s defenses before too long. And so he will be much more dangerous.

The episode sees Yhwach able to break through Mimihagi’s defenses and thus is able to deal the final blow to the Soul King. Following Uryu’s use of the Vollstandig form to erase Ichigo (a form he never got to reveal in the original manga release of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc), Yhwach is then powered up by the other Sternritter to take out the Soul King. Shrouded in darkness, the post-credits scene sees only a few creepy eyes opening into the black void. This sets up the debut of Yhwach’s purest and deadliest form in the series thus far.

What is Yhwach Almighty?

Yhwach’s hidden power is “The Almighty”, a power he teased allowed him to see everything that was happening around him and everything that would happen. It’s kind of a broken ability compared to all the other powers we’ve seen Quincies use so far, and now it’s about to be even more dangerous as Yhwach activates his purest form with this ability. His body-scattering eyes reflect the fact that they are now fully open, and thus he is able to fully tap into the power he previously held back.

The entire anime so far had been teasing how Yhwach was holding himself back on purpose because of his plans for the future. Only now will he be free to do as he pleases as the full extent of his power and vision is revealed. This is Yhwach at his truest, and we’ll get to see what that leads to as the final battles of the bleaching anime continues in future episodes. Needless to say, Yhwach will be the toughest foe Ichigo and the others have yet fought.
