A woman who had been reported missing was found dead in her garage in Philadelphia

Police issued a missing persons report for Ivelisse Lugo, 51, at. about 9:40 a.m. Sunday, according to 6ABC and NBC10.

She was last seen around 8:15 a.m. Saturday at her residence in the 5900 block of Elsinore Street, the police said. Her daughter was going door to door asking neighbors if they had seen her, 6ABC reported.

When police returned to Lugo’s residence around 4:20 p.m. Sunday, they found his body in the garage, wrapped in a blanket and a towel. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Lugo was stabbed multiple times. No weapons were found at the scene.

In the initial missing persons report, it was believed that Lugo may have been with her estranged husband. Although his name has not been released, police said he owns a 2006 Chevy Express pickup truck with Pennsylvania license plate #ZRR-4023 with a cross on the back door.
