Gospel artist Derrick Kyb releases ‘Love Hugs’ ahead of Ghana’s December elections

Gospel singer Derrick Kyb has unveiled his latest single, “Love Hugs”, a timely release aimed at promoting unity and love amid the upcoming December 7 elections in Ghana.

Kyb, who debuted with “Overcoming,” explained that his new song encourages Christians to get involved in national issues rather than shy away.

“As Christians, we suffer most in chaotic times, but we often hesitate to speak up. Christians must preach love in good and bad times, therefore this song creates awareness for Christians to care for the good of others.

“Actually, love is for everyone, even the Bible says love your neighbor as yourself, so if you love God and hate your neighbor, you are a liar,” he said.

“Love Hugs” teaches the importance of love and acceptance regardless of differences. He drew inspiration from 1 Corinthians 13, emphasizing the attributes of love.

“The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves,” Kyb noted. “This song creates awareness among Christians to preach love in both good and bad times.”

The video for “Love Hugs” is now available, with subtitles clarifying the song’s message.

Derrick’s vision is for “Love Hugs” to inspire Ghanaians to prioritize love and unity, especially during the election season.

“Love is for everyone,” he added.
