New FEMA disaster recovery centers are temporarily opening in Alachua and Putnam counties

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – FEMA mobile disaster recovery centers open in Alachua and Putnam counties.

Residents affected by any hurricane that hit in 2024 can visit the centers to discuss FEMA relief options.

Both centers were opened on Tuesday 12 November.

ALACHUA COUNTY:

A FEMA center opens in High Springs at the Old School Community Center.

The center will open from 10am to 7pm on Wednesday 13 November.

The center is located at 23760 NW 187th Ave High Springs, FL, 32643.

PUTNAM COUNTY:

A mobile FEMA center opens in Palatka at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

This center is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The address is 117 Yelvington Road, East Palatka, FL 32131.
