Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh kicked off his India concerts as part of his Dil-Luminati tour at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday evening. However, fans were left unsettled by the delay in starting the concert. The event was supposed to start at 19:00 but did not start on time as the singer arrived late.

As the national capital was gridlocked with peak traffic for kilometers around the city JLN Stadiumit is important to note the traffic advisory before planning any journeys today.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a travel advisory for commuters, advising them to follow the traffic restrictions in effect from October 27. Commuters should note the restricted and alternative routes mentioned below and plan their journey accordingly during the allocated times.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Traffic Police said, “In view of a live music concert by Diljit Doshanjh ‘Dil Luminati’ will be held on 26 and 27.10.2024 at 7:00 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, traffic regulations will be in effect.”

The post also said: “Appropriate traffic arrangements have been made to divert and regulate traffic. The general public and motorists are also advised to use public transport to avoid congestion on the roads.”

How to enter Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium?

Diljit Dosanjh fans eager to watch the concert live today, they can visit the stadium through Gate No. 2, 5, 6, 14 and 16. In particular, Gates 1 and 15 are reserved for emergency use.

What routes should be avoided?

To manage the traffic situation around JLN Stadium, traffic restrictions will be enforced from 16:00 to 23:00 on October 27. The concert is scheduled to start at 19:00. Additionally, Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) will not be allowed to access the Red Light Route of JLN Stadium along the entire stretch of BP Marg during the hours when the traffic restrictions will be enforced.

Police cars, ambulances, firefighters and other such emergency vehicles will have unrestricted access to the area, according to the notice. However, the Delhi Traffic Police has advised against the BP Marg and Lodhi Road routes to avoid delays in emergency cases.

The 40-year-old singer will head to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh and Guwahati after Sunday’s show in Delhi.
