The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team hosts the Clarion Golden Eagles for their first preseason exhibition of the year on Saturday, October 26 (10/26/2024) at 1 pm ET at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Syracuse vs. Clarion will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra and can be streamed live ESPN.com with a free trial of fuboTV or a wired connection.

Syracuse enters the season with somewhat tempered expectations, after what it has been picked to finish 11th in the ACC in a preseason poll. The 54-member panel that makes the selections places Syracuse at its lowest preseason ranking since joining the ACC 12 years ago. Last year they were in 10th place.

But there’s still a lot of excitement around the new Orange look. Especially around freshman Donnie Freemanwhich Orange guard Jaquan Carlos called destined for a future NBA career at a recent Syracuse Orange media day.

A question that remains is how soon Chance Westry he will be able to return, with some skepticism that he will make an appearance on the field on Saturday. Westry sat out the entire season with an injury last year and battled an illness before the start of 2024.
