RAPID CITY, SD — A felony warrant has been issued for Stephen Louis Mesteth, who is wanted for aggravated assault and interference with emergency communications.

Mesteth, a 45-year-old Native American male, is described as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 195 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Known to frequent the Rapid City area.

Authorities are urging the public not to approach Mesteth if spotted. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office at 605-394-6117, the Rapid City Police Department at 605-394-4131 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
