INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police say an Indiana County teenager is charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her mother over the weekend.

Investigators say troopers were dispatched to a residence along Graceton Village Road in Center Township on Saturday evening for reports of a domestic dispute.

Police say the teenager, a 14-year-old girl, stabbed her 41-year-old mother during the altercation.

Police say the victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.

Police say the unnamed teenager has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Officials note that charges have been filed with the Indiana County Probation Department.
