3 brothers among 4 killed in highway crash, authorities say

IMPERIAL, Texas (KOSA/Gray News ) – Four people were killed, including three brothers, in a head-on crash Wednesday, according to Texas authorities.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash on Farm to Market Road 1053 in Imperial involved a GMC Sierra and a Jeep occupied by the three brothers.

The Jeep caught fire and all three family members inside died at the scene, law enforcement officials said.

The driver of the truck, identified as Gary Liles, 48, of Brownfield, was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Authorities have not publicly named the three brothers, but the Ector County Sheriff’s Office shared a GoFundMe listing the victims as 18-year-old twins Jaden and Jackie Jurado and their 16-year-old sister Nautica.
