Student accused of painting offensive anti-Semitic symbol on campus no longer enrolled at Nashville private school

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A student accused of painting an offensive anti-Semitic symbol on the campus of Montgomery Bell Academy is no longer enrolled at the school, according to a school spokesperson.

The spokesperson reported that the symbol was painted on campus by a student and could not comment on the MBA’s handling of the issue.

However, the student is no longer enrolled in the MBA. The school released the following statement to WSMV4:

“At Montgomery Bell Academy, we are committed to fostering an environment built on integrity and respect. Recently, a student painted an offensive anti-Semitic symbol on the footpath under the football stands during a game. It is an action that stands in clear opposition to our core values. We acted immediately to remove the symbol and investigate the incident. While we cannot comment on the school’s handling of student issues, we can reiterate that this type of conduct has no place in our community.

We are committed to educating our students about the serious implications of actions like these and remain committed to supporting a school culture where all our students feel known, valued and respected.”
