Another warm-up on the way

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A beautiful fall day to end the weekend before another warm up takes over the Midstate this week.

Today will be great. Temperatures will top out in the 70s with plenty of sunshine. It will cool overnight as lows drop into the 40s.

Monday starts a few days above average. Highs climb back into the 80s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each day will be mostly sunny but also breezy with winds gusting up to 25 MPH at times. Lows will also be much warmer, only dropping into the 60s overnight.

It will be a dry and quiet start to the week. Our next chance of rain comes later on Halloween.

Halloween will still be warm in the afternoon with highs in the 70s. Later in the day, a cold front starts to move through that will not only drop our temperatures, but also bring some much needed rain. Unfortunately, that rain comes right at the peak of trick-or-treating time. Most children will need umbrellas or rain jackets with their costumes. Hopefully we’ll see a few breaks in the rain during the evening hours.

Rain lingers Friday morning and cooler air takes over. Highs on Friday will return to the upper 60s around 70º.
