KANSAS CITY, Mo. — NFL Media announced a few viewer statistics today, November 20.

The NFL is currently averaging 17.5 million viewers per game, its highest average rating since Week 11 of the 2015 season. Additionally, NFL games were ranked 47th among the top 50 most-watched television programs in 2024.

Kansas City’s quest for a three-peat hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Whether that’s due love, contempt or fearwe will never know. However, one thing is certain, Kansas City dominates the rest of the NFL in terms of viewership.

Of the first five NFL games watched in the ’24 season, Kansas City played in four of them, holding the top three spots.

Here are the top five games through Week 11 in terms of viewership, according to NFL Media.

Week 11 – KC vs. Buffalo: 31.2 million viewers.
Week 1 – Baltimore vs. KC: 28 million viewers.
Week 2 – Cincinnati vs. KC: 27.9 million viewers.
Week 3 – Baltimore vs. Dallas: 27.3 million viewers.
Week 7 – KC vs. San Francisco: 27.1 million viewers.

Chiefs-Bills’ 31.2 million viewers was the highest rating of any NFL regular-season game since 2007, outside of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve games, according to the data. USA Today.

The report also includes that the game was “the fourth-most-watched game in a national broadcast window dating back to at least 1988 and is among the 10 most-watched NFL regular-season games in any window, excluding Thanksgiving Day”.

While the outcome of the game may have been a disappointment for Kansas City fans, the number of people who tuned in to watch the game certainly did not disappoint. With both teams looking like serious AFC title contenders, fans will have to wait and see if the two wizards meet again in early 2025.
