BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – On November 19, investigators from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Waynesboro Police Department, identified and arrested two suspects in connection with a series of car break-ins in Waynesboro and Burke County.

During the investigation, the suspects were identified as Demari Crawford, 21, of the 500 block of Grays Grove Church Road, and Jamie McNair, 18, of the 800 block of Davis Road. Both individuals were located at their home and were taken into custody without incident.

Crawford and McNair were transported to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where they were formally charged with multiple felonies related to the recent car burglaries.

This case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

• 7 counts of entering a motor vehicle to commit a theft or misdemeanor

• 3 counts of theft by taking a firearm

• Theft by taking a motor vehicle

• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Jamie McNair

• 7 counts of entering a motor vehicle to commit a theft or misdemeanor

• 3 counts of theft by taking a firearm

• Theft by taking a motor vehicle

Both individuals were also charged with Waynesboro Police with burglary that occurred at 248 East 6th^th Street.
