A woman who divorced her husband and then got back together after having a child with someone else opens up about her unique relationship.

In a video shared on TikTokuser @georgia.lawrence_ explains that her husband had a child “while we were divorced,” adding, “Not during our marriage — after the divorce.”

“And I’m okay with that,” she adds. “I agree because we were divorced. He owed me nothing at that time and at that time.”

Still, she admits that getting back with an ex — especially one you’ve legally separated from — is rare.

“Usually when people divorce, they go their separate ways. They’re trying to move on, they’re getting over their pain, they’re trying to move on with their lives,” she adds.

Lawrence has shared a number of videos about her relationship, including some where she talks about the criticism she’s received from strangers on the internet.

“One of the comments said, ‘I would look at that kid with so much resentment,’ and why?” she says. “Why would I treat a child like that? She’s part of the man I love, who I want to be with for the rest of my life. Why the hell would I do anything but love her?”

Other commenters, Lawrence adds on TikTok, accused her husband of treating her poorly, arguing that he “has no self-esteem.”

“It’s not like she had a baby when we were together,” she says of the criticism. “Why can’t I trust him? I trust that man all my life.”

In another videoLawrence writes that the two went “years” without any contact after the divorce, until they finally got back together.

Answering one of the most asked questions she gets – “How did you two get back together?” — Lawrence shares another video that the pair “didn’t speak” following the divorce.

Her main goal during that time, she adds, was to “better myself for my future.”

“It seems like all the time and effort I put into myself really helped our relationship and for us to get back together,” she says. “One day we were driving down the road, we randomly pulled up next to each other at a red light, and he rolled down his window and said, ‘Hey, can we talk?’ ”

She continues: “I said ‘Sure.’ I didn’t know what it was about, but it turns out he still had all my feelings for him and I decided that… the past is the past. We don’t want to be without each other, we can’t be without each other, so let’s do what we have to do to make it work. And that’s exactly what I did.
