Police are appealing for information about a suspect believed to have fled on an e-bike after a man was shot outside a bar.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the wrist while in Silver Street, Bury, at around 11.43pm BST on Wednesday, Greater Manchester said.

A 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on bail as inquiries continue.

Police appealed for anyone with information about a person who was on a black electric bike and left the scene in the direction of Bury Interchange to come forward.

A statement from GMP said the offender was believed to have left and returned a short time later.

“It is also believed that the victim and the offender were not known to each other,” the force said.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Inspector Chris Mannion said the attack was an “isolated” incident with no greater threat to the community.
