The lawsuit claims the former Clarksville Middle School teacher sexually exploited the student

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) – A lawsuit filed against the Clarksville Community School Corporation and three current and former staff members accuses a former teacher of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The complaint, filed Tuesday, Nov. 19, says Connor Page, then a teacher at Clarksville Middle School, groomed and sexually exploited an eighth-grade girl who was in his math class.

The suit says Page used his position as a math teacher to pressure the eighth-grader into sending him explicit photos and videos as he followed his school bus route, drove by several or by her home and waited for her to be dropped off the bus. on several occasions.

The lawsuit also alleges that Clarksville Middle School Principal Nikki Bullington and Counselor Becky Bilsland failed to act despite allegedly being aware of Page’s disturbing behavior.

“It is appalling that someone entrusted with the care of children would engage in such predatory and illegal behavior… What is even more concerning is the complete failure of school management to take decisive action that could have prevented these disgusting acts,” prosecutor Karl. Truman, who represents the student, told WAVE News.

WAVE News has reached out to the school district for comment and is still waiting for a full response, but an official said they had no idea this process existed until Tuesday afternoon.
