Boston police identified a woman who suffered fatal injuries after being attacked by her dog Monday afternoon, aged 73, in Roxbury.

Jeriline McGinnis was one of two residents of 35 Dennison St. of Roxbury injured in a dog attack Monday afternoon. A pair of Boston police officers were wounded in response, and one officer fired his gun at the dog.

Four dogs were taken into police custody at the Roxbury property, Boston Police Deputy Paul McLaughlin told reporters at the scene.

Police did not say what breed the dog was that caused the injuries.
