THOMASTON, Conn. (WFSB) – A single vehicle crash closed portions of Route 8 in Thomaston early Wednesday morning.

The collision was reported on the southbound side of the freeway between exits 39 and 38 at approximately 10:42 p.m.

L Troop confirmed that injuries were sustained, although the extent of those injuries remains unclear.

The highway was reopened around 5 a.m
