A man and a woman were assaulted at a taxi rank in York by suspects they met on a night out, police said.

The man was left with a black eye and broken nose following the incident, which happened in Duncombe Place between 04:00 and 04:30 GMT on Wednesday 6 November.

The victims met the suspects at the Drawing Board bar earlier in the evening and were then followed to the taxi rank, North Yorkshire Police said.

The force has released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
