MANKATO, Minn. (KTTC) – Mankato Public Safety officers have arrested a domestic violence suspect who barricaded himself in a Mankato home with children inside

Mankato Public Safety was called around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to a home on Devonshire Place in reference to a reported domestic incident.

The police first came into contact with a woman, who was allegedly injured by the suspect.

Officials say the suspect barricaded himself in a bedroom with two children.

Police negotiated with the suspect for three hours before the children were released, unharmed.

The suspect has been arrested and now faces more charges.
