Rourkela: Three men were arrested on Monday for allegedly planning a robbery nearby Tarkera pump house boundary wall. Four other suspects managed to flee the scene.
The accused have been identified as Alok Prajapati (28), Sonu Samasi (30) and Dhanu Bahadur (22), all from Raghunathpalli area. The police recovered several weapons from their possession, including a pistol, two live bombs in a plastic bag, a sword, a knife and two torches.
During questioning on Monday, the suspects revealed details of the planned robbery attempt on Sunday. The police are conducting searches to apprehend the four suspects who fled. “A case has been registered and further investigations are on,” said a police official from Raghunathpalli police station.
