Bridgetown is home to a number of museums that are steeped in history, from Barbados Museum and Historical Society (housed in a former prison) at George Washington House and Museumwhere Washington and his brother lived briefly in 1751. After a morning exploring the historic capital, take a stroll to idyllic Pebble’s Beach, where paddleboarding and kayaking are popular activities. Switch to bright blue Cuzz’s Fish Stand and order the famous fish cutter (a delicious sandwich consisting of salt bread, marlin, tomato, lettuce and an optional fried egg.) Taste the oldest rum in the world

Barbados is considered the birthplace of rum and is home to the world’s oldest commercial rum distillery, Mount Gaywhich has been producing the drink since 1703.
