Three key players are in danger of missing today’s contest again

The Charlotte Hornets are set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on the second night of a back-to-back matchup. The Hornets are the latest contenders to try to knock off a Cavaliers team that has amassed 14 wins in 14 tries. Handling the load is to be expected for a Hornets team playing for the second straight day, and Charlotte could be without some key contributors.

OUT: DaQuan Jeffries (right hand), Nick Richards (right shoulder) and Mark Williams (left leg)

Doubtful: LaMelo Ball (sprained index finger L), Miles Bridges (knee D, injury management) and Mann (lower back, injury management)

If Mann, Bridges and Ball miss out, the scoring burden will fall to Brandon Miller. The second-year wing has had a roller coaster of a start to the season, and tonight’s matchup with the Cavaliers would be a great time for him to get going.

Wings Josh Green and Cody Martin would also see an increase in shot attempts. Green, acquired this summer from the Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks, played the best game of his Hornets career against the Milwaukee Bucks yesterday afternoon.

Hornets fans can watch today’s action at 6 PM EST on FanDuel Sports Network or on their streaming app.
