Delhi Pollution: GRAP 4 recommends 50% presence in offices; odd-even for cars | Latest news India

The Center for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has been activated Stage-4 of its strict anti-pollution measures plan for Delhi on Sunday as the city’s air quality index (AQI) worsened to reach the ‘plus severe’ category.

The Capital’s AQI was 457 at 7 pm, well above the >450 mark for the “plus severe” category, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed.

“An action plan of the 8-point action plan as per Stage-IV of GRAP is applicable with immediate effect from 8 am on November 18 in the entire RCN. The action plan includes steps to be implemented by various pollution control agencies and boards in the National Capital Region and Delhi,” CAQM said. statement reading.

Here are the activities that are allowed and those that are restricted:

(1.) No trucks entering the Capital (exceptions: essential goods/essential services; LNG/CNG/electric/BS-VI diesel trucks).

(2.) No entry for utility vehicles commercial vehicles registered outside Delhi other than EV/ CNG/ BS-VI diesel (except: essential goods/ essential services).

(3.) Strict ban on MGVs and diesel HGVs registered in Delhi and below (exceptions: essential goods/essential services) in the city.

(4.) Prohibition of R&D activities, as in GRAP Stage-IIIalso for linear public projects such as highways, roads, crossings, bridges, power transmission, pipelines, telecommunications, etc.

(5.) NCR States and Delhi Governments shall decide to discontinue physical classes even for classes 6-9, class 11 and conduct online courses.

(6.) NCR States and Delhi Governments will decide to allow public, municipal and private offices to work 50% and the rest to work from home.

(7.) Center to take call to work from home for Central Government employees.

(8.) NCR States and Delhi Governments may consider additional emergency measures such as closure of colleges and educational institutions, closure of all non-emergency commercial activities apart from allowing vehicular movement on impar- par of registration numbers, etc.
