CHICAGO – A 22-year-old Chicago man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in August, police said.

Humza Raja was arrested Nov. 14 in the 5100 block of N. Catalpa, according to Chicago Police.

He is accused of fatally shooting a 28-year-old man in the 400 block of W. Cermak Road on Aug. 25. Police said Raja approached the victim in a car and fired several shots.

The victim was struck multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, but died a short time later, police said.

His identity has not been released.

Raja is due in court for a detention hearing on November 17.
